[Joint Exposition of Books] The Bakumatsu -the end of the Edo period-

150 years have passed since the Taiseihōkan, the return of rule to the Emperor from the Shoguns. In the exposition, the International House of Japan Library, Bibliothèque de la Maison franco-japonaise, and the Deutsches Institut für Japanstudien Bibliothek will be displaying materials on the history of foreign relations from the arrival of Commodore Perry in 1853 to the Taiseihōkan in 1867.
