The Asia Leadership Fellow Program (ALFP) has for the past ten years brought distinguished Asian intellectuals to Japan to discuss pan-Asian issues in a collaborative setting. For the past two months, eight eminent ALFP intellectuals have interacted with each other and with academics and civil society in Japan in interdisciplinary dialogues. They will be addressing a public symposium on the theme “Communities in Action: Struggle for Peace and Sustainability in Asia” in which they will speak on environmental and cultural sustainability as a precursor to peace. The ALFP is a joint program of the International House of Japan and the Japan Foundation, and invites you to join the fellows in their collective exploration and inquiry.
