The many faces and inner workings of Tokyo has been introduced and studied overseas since the city became the nation’s capital in the Meiji era. In a joint exhibition with the Bibliothèque de la Maison franco-japonaise and the Deutsches Institut für Japanstudien Bibliothek], the I-House Library will showcase books written in English, French and German since the city’s transformation from Edo to Tokyo in 1868.
