Angela Carter, who is a representative novelist of the United Kingdom, and was also active as a journalist, stayed in Japan for two years after obtaining the Somerset Maugham Award in 1969, and her creative activity and thought were greatly affected by this experience. Fireworks, a work based on her experience in Japan, and unpublished works will be read, and Carter’s relationship with Japan will also be considered.
