Landscape architects Ron Henderson (Illinois Institute of Technology), Toru Mitani (University of Tokyo), and Aki Omi (office ma) will speak about trees in landscape architecture design based on their contributions to the new book, edited by Henderson, titled 30 Trees … And Why Landscape Architects Love Them.
Henderson will introduce the structure and overall content of the book, which invited 30 global landscape architects, including Mitani and Omi, to write about their favorite species of tree. Henderson and Mitani will present their introductory essay “Increments of Time in Japanese Cherry Blossoms” and all three will share a discussion on their own favorite tree.
